I use materials as ‘fragments’ to explore notions of permanence, disposability, change and belonging.
Materials are often recycled in my work – an old drawing or abandoned object – intuitively arranged to offer traces of narrative.
My work is interdisciplinary, however, collage forms the basis of my practice, and informs the work's development into sculpture and installation.
My recent work conveys human narrative through barriers, gaps, cracks and vulnerably arranged objects. I am interested – most significantly – in the tension between materials, and where the relationship between them intersects and perhaps break down.
